Alvarez Guitars has a longstanding tradition of continually improving their guitars through the use of emerging technologies, processes, and materials. From raw material preparation to construction and manufacturing processes, every detail is carefully crafted to ensure that each guitar is constructed correctly in every sense.

Each guitar is crafted with tone woods that are carefully cured, components like neck blocks and wood joints that are expertly designed, and painting, sanding and polishing techniques that are continually researched and developed. With a stable, consistent and lively sound box, their guitars offer an unparalleled tone.

The Artist Series guitars have an open and powerful sound and personality. For a more focused sound with fewer overtones, you can choose a mahogany top. For power, go for Sitka. For warmth and response to a lighter touch, choose a cedar top.

But it’s not just the type of wood that matters. The whole guitar needs to be built correctly to optimize the energy a solid soundboard can generate. That’s where the Artist Series comes in. Each model is designed to get the best out of its components - including the FST2 bracing system, bi-level rosewood bridge, real bone nut and saddle, and high-quality tone woods - to produce balance, lively projection, and great response.

The FST2 bracing system is a forward-shifted X-brace design, which means the axis of the X is closer to the sound hole, allowing for a larger soundboard area and more energy and vibration to be harnessed. The scalloped design of the X braces and asymmetric tone bars were developed over many years in their Yairi workshops. The result is great balance, with both the treble and bass registers clearly present and balanced in relation to each other.

The high-gloss natural finish is flawless, carefully crafted to produce a mirror-deep shine. The guitar is also fitted with the SYS250 3-band EQ with notch filter and backlit digital tuner.
