In developing their new Classical and Flamenco guitars Alvarez started their journey in Cádiz, the beautiful most southern province in Andalusia and the home of the Classical guitar. Their aim was to learn more about the history, the music and construction of these amazing instruments before embarking on R&D. They started in the small hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, just south of the city of Cádiz where they met, talked and worked with local luthiers and players in the Cádiz area.
Over the next few months they studied four different construction styles and bracing systems and went to work building samples in their factory based on designs and guitars they saw in Spain. The result of that journey and work is something they believe is very special and Alvarez is proud to introduce CÁDIZ SERIES.
