I have playing on a Roland V-Kit for a number of years. Georges Music gave me a good deal. I opted for digital over accoustic due to playing in church and balancing levels with all other insruments through our PA. I had some reservations at first, but am pleased to say that I have gotten used to the limitations, while enjoying the additional voices. Tympani, tubular bells and some other sounds come in handy during holidays and special Contatas. The CY-8 V-Cymbal does not have all the potential tones and sounds of a real cymbal, but having 2 triggers and choking capabilities does make this an acceptable alternative. I am planning on adding on another cymbal and drum pad in the near future. I would recomend the Roland V-Kits as a good alternative when faced with limitaions in space, sound mixing and versatility. Gearges Music will be my first choise in purchasing any additional add-ons.
