Three decades and three years after the debut of the legendary and iconic Ibanez JEM, Steve Vai and Ibanez reunite to pioneer something entirely fresh, marking what Steve describes as the "next evolution of the JEM."

Despite the enduring companionship with his reliable JEM guitars over the years, Steve recently felt compelled to craft a new instrument that mirrors his personal growth and artistic journey since the JEM's initial release in 1987. Collaborating tirelessly, Steve and Ibanez brought forth a guitar that not only encapsulates the exhilaration of his beloved JEMs but also introduces fresh elements of aesthetics, design, and functionality.

Following an exciting phase of research and development, they exceeded all expectations, birthing what Steve affectionately dubs "Paradise in Art." Ibanez proudly introduces the Ibanez PIA, representing the next evolution in their remarkable partnership with Steve Vai. The standout 'Petal Grip,' a visually arresting feature of the PIA, symbolizes the symbiotic bond between two entities.
