The 812ce 12-Fret V-Class Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric embodies the essence of the Taylor playing experience. In 2014, Taylor’s flagship series went under a comprehensive redesign by master luthier Andy Powers who deployed an array of voicing refinements to bring out another level of musicality. Combined with Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing, these elements deliver enough versatility and style to meet the needs of anyone from hobbyists to pros. The 812ce Grand Concert comes with an included Taylor deluxe hardshell case for portable protection and convenient storage between gigs.
The Taylor 812ce also features Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing system, which optimizes the response of an acoustic guitar by boosting volume and sustain as well as resolving the intonation issues that have long plagued acoustic guitars. Because of V-Class bracing, notes have clearer, more consistent response, and the whole fretboard is brought into greater auditory alignment for an improved musical experience. Guitars with V-Class bracing are easier to tune; the pitch sounds purer and more solid, and electronic tuners can more easily locate notes for quick, precise tuning.
Taylor's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design with Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, featuring three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. Because the pickup doesn't sit under the saddle, the bottom of the saddle comes in full contact with the bridge, allowing all the nuance of the guitar's tone to come through clearly whether playing acoustically or plugged-in. Whether you’re playing through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume and active bass and treble controls.
