George’s Music in North Wales, PA offers private, in-person music lessons for all ages — guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, mandolin, and banjo. Chiemena Ukazim
Chiemena earned a jazz performance degree from Temple’s Boyer College and has played shows across the US, Europe, Nigeria, and China. He calls himself a music tutor rather than a teacher: the lesson gets built around what one particular student needs, broken into pieces small enough to celebrate.
Zachary Devine
Zachary holds a bachelor’s in guitar from Berklee and a master’s in jazz studies from the University of the Arts, with 30 years on the instrument and several releases of his own. He’s fluent in jazz, blues, rock, classical, and country, and he pushes students toward goals a little past what they think they can reach.
Giulio Kitao
Giulio has a performance degree from Oberlin, 30 years on the local scene, and three bands he currently gigs with. He specializes in hard rock, metal, and classic rock.
Bryan Dale
Bryan has played guitar for 35 years and taught for more than 20, including a decade running education at Pyramind, the audio production school in San Francisco. His guitar work is on the Halo Anniversary and Iron Man II games, and he’ll take a student from fingerpicked Bob Dylan to heavy metal without blinking.
Daniel Pearce
Dan has taught at this store for 10 years and holds two jazz degrees, from Columbia College Chicago and the University of the Arts. He runs the store’s workshops, including the Ultimate Blues Jam and Lead Guitar Techniques, and teaches everything from Hendrix and AC/DC to Django Reinhardt.
John Claffey
John graduated salutatorian with a bachelor’s in music production and plays guitar, drums, bass, and piano, picked up over years of school bands and studio work. He aims a lesson at the moment a concept clicks, and keeps the explanation plain until it does.
Andrew Lynch
Andrew took lessons for seven years starting at 12, was playing in bands by 16, and has spent 15 years writing and performing locally. He teaches the songs a student brings in and pulls the technique and theory out of them, strongest in blues, funk, country, rock, and pop.
Herman Bruning
Herman has taught at George’s since 2007 and privately since 1975, and he’s been performing and recording professionally since 1973. He played the main stage at Woodstock ’94 and has opened for Jefferson Starship and performed with Grover Washington. With beginners he starts on the songs they already love and works the theory in behind them.
Michael Bodri
Michael holds a Bachelor of Music, studied classical guitar in college, and has taught for over a decade. He works with all skill levels, focused on rock, metal, and classical.

Mike Markey
Mike teaches mandolin and banjo, plus guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, and drums: seven instruments, more than anyone else on the North Wales roster. He has taught for more than 20 years and holds a degree in Music Performance from Bloomsburg University. He builds each lesson around what a student wants to play and how they learn best, and keeps the pace steady enough that progress is easy to hear.

Kevin Lin
Kevin trained as a classical pianist in Asia from age 7 and holds the L.R.S.M. diploma from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, the highest it awarded before 2000. He has taught in the US for 20 years, works with intermediate and advanced students from age 8 up, and teaches in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Drums
Sammy DeSantos
Sammy graduated from Berklee with a degree in Professional Music and has toured the Northeast and Midwest, recording with his bands and as a session player. He started on drums at 8, taught himself guitar and bass after watching a Foo Fighters documentary, and teaches all four instruments here.
Mike Coviello
Mike started drum lessons at 11 and spent 2014 to 2021 gigging and recording with original bands. He builds every student on fundamentals first, and takes players as far as double bass drumming and limb independence.
Strings & Orchestral
Robin Lohse
Robin has been teaching strings since the early eighties: certified in the Suzuki method at Ithaca College in 1981 and again at Elizabethtown in 1997, with a degree in Early Music from Hampshire College. She plays with the Ambler Symphony and Methacton Strings, teaches violin, viola, and cello, and studied for decades under Dolly Koritzer, whose shifting technique she still teaches.

Lessons are private, one-on-one, and billed as a flat monthly rate, starting at $155 per month for a weekly 30-minute lesson and $299 per month for a weekly 60-minute lesson. More than lessons
When you're ready to play alongside other people, the Rock Stars Band Program puts students in a real band: you pick the setlist, rehearse across a season, and finish with a live show. It starts at $399. Separately, our private-lesson students get their own chance to perform: a few times a year we host in-store showcases where a student plays a piece they've prepared with their teacher.
