The BOSS SY-1 makes it easy to unlock iconic guitar synth tones—no programming or special pickups needed. Packed with 121 ultra-responsive, polyphonic sounds, this compact pedal turns any guitar or bass into a powerful synthesizer with zero latency and a natural playing feel.

Drawing on advanced tech from the SY-300, the SY-1 delivers a wide range of analog-style leads, pads, basses, organs, and rhythmic patterns. It fits seamlessly into any pedalboard and operates like a standard stompbox, offering instant plug-and-play performance with simple, intuitive controls.

You can shape your tone in real time using the Tone/Rate and Depth knobs, while the onboard send/return loop allows for creative routing—blend in overdrive, delay, or modulation in parallel with your synth signal. Use the send as a direct out to split guitar and synth signals.

Additional performance options include a sustain function for holding synth notes while playing over them, plus support for expression pedals and external footswitches for tap tempo, octave shifting, and more.
