The Yamaha MG12X CV is a compact 12-input analog mixer housed in a rugged, powder-coated steel chassis — built to survive load-ins, rehearsal rooms and permanent installs alike. At its heart are Yamaha's D-PRE discrete Class-A microphone preamplifiers, delivering detailed, natural sound from vocal mics, instrument mics and line sources.
Connectivity is genuinely flexible. The MG12X CV accepts XLR, 1/4" phone and RCA-type pin jack inputs, and offers XLR and phone outputs along with a balanced stereo output. Two AUX busses handle the job: one feeds the built-in SPX digital effects processor with its 24 programs, the other sends to monitors. A footswitch input lets you mute effects hands-free between songs or spoken segments.
Four channels of Yamaha's one-knob compression let you control vocals, bass or drums without diving into threshold and ratio menus. Mono channels add three-band EQ, an 80Hz high-pass filter, a 26dB pad and a peak LED, while dual 12-segment output meters keep you on top of levels. Faders and lit channel on/off switches make your settings readable at a glance, and color-coded controls keep operation intuitive under stage lighting.
Switchable +48V phantom power covers condenser mics, a universal AC 100-240V supply handles travel, and at 9.3 lb the MG12X CV is easy to carry. For fixed installations, it can be rackmounted using the optional RK-MG12 rackmount kit.
