The BOSS Loop Station is for

Beginners

From top guitar publications to music teachers and guitar heroes, BOSS Loop Stations are consistently rated the best loopers available. They’ve been the industry standard for over two decades, trusted by beginners and pros alike. Right now, guitarists, bassists, and instrumentalists everywhere are using Loop Stations at home, on stage, and in the studio.

When starting out, everyone needs to consider a handful of essentials beyond the instrument itself. A looper pedal is one big step to musical fulfillment, providing a solid, reliable partner to push creative boundaries and get the most out of practice sessions.

If you're new to looping, we recommend checking out the RC-1 and RC-5 Loop Stations. While we also offer more advanced models, these easy-to-operate pedals will help cultivate skills and inspire you to begin turning musical ambitions into reality.

The BOSS Loop Station is for

Guitarists

Guitarists have been captivated by the creative potential of looping since the revolutionary “sound-on-sound” techniques first developed in the mid-20th century. These early innovations showcased the transformative power of live multitracking and overdubbing, though few players at the time could access such expensive and complicated studio technology.

Thankfully, you no longer need to be both an engineer and a musician to achieve multitrack mastery. Since 2001, the affordable BOSS Loop Station products have empowered countless guitarists to create with ultimate ease. Whether building layered performances, honing parts, or arranging songs, utilizing loops will allow your musical voice to flourish.

Wielding a bevy of performance-focused features, Loop Stations are also indispensable for auditioning tone settings, progressing technique, and improving timing. Powerful, flexible, and a lot of fun to use, there’s room for one in every player’s toolkit, regardless of level. From streamlined compact pedals like the RC-1 to the feature-rich RC-600, there’s a Loop Station to suit every guitarist's needs.

The BOSS Loop Station is for

Vocalists

BOSS Loop Stations are a singer-songwriter's dream, offering endless fun and inspiration for ambitious vocal-focused creators. These powerful tools empower independent performers and tunesmiths, freeing them from studio costs and band logistics. Imagination is all that’s required.

Legions of artists across the world rely on Loop Stations to supercharge their singing and songwriting workflows. From the straightforward RC-1 compact pedal to the feature-rich RC-505mkII, BOSS’s intuitive designs let you instantly explore fresh ideas while refining performances and vocal delivery.

Armed with a Loop Station, a singer-songwriter immediately transcends into a captivating one-person band. From loop-powered writing and practice to electrifying shows with richly layered sounds, you can polish your act and hit the stage with confidence.

The BOSS Loop Station is for

Beatboxers

Beatboxing has grown far beyond its early hip-hop origins, where vocal interpretations of classic drum machines like the Roland TR-808 laid the foundation. Rooted in live performance, this mesmerizing musical art form has evolved beyond measure. Renowned for talent, creativity, and community, beatboxing is now a distinguished genre in its own right.

When BOSS Loop Stations arrived on the scene in the new millennium, forward-thinking beatboxers increasingly explored dynamic live looping techniques with them. Using this powerful technology to expand and energize their sound like never before, these loop-based performers instantly transformed themselves into revered solo artists.

BOSS Loop Stations are now the tried-and-tested industry standard in the beatboxing world. Evolved from the foot-controlled models for instrumentalists, the tabletop RC-505mkII and RC-202 Loop Stations have been designed with beatboxers and hands-on control firmly in mind.

Retaining the DIY ethos of hip-hop culture, beatboxing is the epitome of independent music. As a beatboxer, you are your instrument. You speak directly through your music, and your music speaks through you. Empowered by a BOSS Loop Station and a microphone, your creative destiny is in your hands.

The BOSS Loop Station is for

Multi-Instrumentalists

BOSS Loop Stations are a favorite among guitarists, vocalists, and beatboxers, but their potential goes far beyond. They empower exploration for all types of musicians. Bassists loop solid grooves, keyboardists layer chords and melodies, string players conjure orchestral soundscapes, and wind instrumentalists build vibrant textures for improvisation.

Loop Stations are also popular among electronic musicians. Used as real-time samplers, they capture vocals, synths, drum machines, and more. Users can retrigger, manipulate, and layer sounds in the moment for explosive performances that push boundaries.

Likewise, a DJ transforms into an aural alchemist with a Loop Station. Sample snippets from tracks, vocals, and instruments to formulate unique mashups and mixes. Line up seamless transitions, inject surprise elements, and deliver captivating sets that leave crowds wanting more.
