The Alvarez AED66ce Armrest is a lively dreadnought that delivers a warm, focused tone from its all-Mahogany construction. Its understated cosmetics make for a striking aesthetic, enhanced by Alvarez's standard-width bevel armrest made from Ebony.

The FS6 forward-shifted bracing pattern allows for a larger soundboard area to heighten vibration, which is aided by a high-quality solid African Mahogany top and premium components throughout — all working together to deliver an engaging playing experience. The gloss finish is radiant and thinly applied to increase response.

This cutaway model gives you easy access up the neck and is fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze: a small-footprint, side-mounted EQ built around the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. The low-profile unit includes a large backlit tuner along with volume, bass, treble and phase controls, and the battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open.

Alvarez selects and grades every solid top independently of its suppliers, and laminated backs and sides are uniquely constructed with Mahogany as the middle layer with matched inner and outer layers. Tops, backs, sides and mahogany necks go through a months-long curing process, followed by an extra thermo-kiln drying stage Alvarez calls ATR (Advanced Tonal Response) — an oxygen-controlled, vacuum-curing form of torrefaction that removes additional moisture, saps and sugars for greater stability, clarity, note separation and volume from day one.

Comfort You Feel Immediately

The Ebony bevel armrest — slightly thicker on the Dreadnought than on Alvarez's Grand Auditoriums — takes the hard edge off the body so your strumming arm stays relaxed. Longer playing sessions simply feel better.

Mature Tone From Day One

The ATM-style ATR torrefaction process drives extra moisture, saps and sugars out of the wood, so the top responds like a guitar that's already been played in. You get clearer note separation, a quicker, more open response and more volume without waiting years for the guitar to open up.

Stage-Ready Without Fuss

The LR Baggs StagePro Bronze puts a backlit tuner, volume, bass, treble and phase right at your side, and the battery box pops open at the end pin with a simple push. Plug in, tune up and dial in your sound in seconds.

Solid African Mahogany Top

A high-quality solid African Mahogany top drives the guitar's warm, focused voice. Every solid top is selected and graded by the Alvarez team independently of its suppliers.

FS6 Forward-Shifted Bracing

The FS6 pattern opens up a larger vibrating soundboard area for heightened response and volume.

Ebony Bevel Armrest

A standard-width bevel armrest crafted from Ebony adds both comfort and a custom-shop look.

LR Baggs StagePro Bronze

A low-profile, side-mounted EQ system incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup, with a large backlit tuner plus volume, bass, treble and phase controls.

Cutaway Dreadnought Body

The cutaway gives easy access up the neck while the dreadnought body keeps the projection and low-end you expect.

Rosewood Appointments

East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and headstock facia are paired with a Bi-Level Indian Rosewood bridge and MOP & acrylic inlays.
