The D'Addario Auto Lock Guitar Strap is a simple, integrated strap locking system built for performance. Rather than adding aftermarket hardware to your instrument, the lock is built into the strap itself — the spring-loaded latch automatically clamps down on your strap button as soon as you attach it, and won't release unless you want it to.

Designed in collaboration with Ned Steinberger, the Auto Lock works with most strap buttons on the market, so your guitar or bass stays exactly as it is. The 2" wide polypropylene strap adjusts from 35" to 55" and is made to keep you comfortable through long standing sets, on stage or in the studio.

Note: although this strap works with most strap buttons, compatibility with every design cannot be guaranteed. The Auto Lock will not work with end pin jacks or plastic strap buttons.

  • Spring-loaded Auto Lock ends clamp onto the strap button automatically
  • 2" wide polypropylene strap, adjustable 35" - 55"
  • Works with most standard strap buttons — no instrument modification needed
  • Designed in collaboration with Ned Steinberger
  • Not compatible with end pin jacks or plastic strap buttons

Play Without Worry

The spring-loaded latch clamps onto your strap button and won't release unless you choose to release it, so you can move around the stage without one eye on your instrument.

No Hardware To Install

Because the lock is integrated into the strap ends, it works with most strap buttons already on your guitar or bass — no modifications or aftermarket lock hardware required.

Comfortable For Long Sets

The 2" wide design spreads weight across your shoulder for maximum comfort in standing situations, whether you're gigging or tracking.

Integrated Auto Lock System

A spring-loaded latch is built directly into both strap ends, clamping down on the strap button the moment it's attached.

Broad Strap Button Compatibility

Works with most strap buttons on the market, so there's nothing to swap out on your instrument.

2" Polypropylene Construction

A 2" wide polypropylene strap that holds up to regular stage and studio use.

35" to 55" Adjustable Length
