Electro-Harmonix pedals have long been the tools of pedal heads and true musical innovators, and Adrian Belew sits squarely in both camps. Following his career-launching stints with Frank Zappa and David Bowie, and during his collaborations with Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, Adrian discovered the tone-bending abilities of the EHX Echoflanger — a bucket brigade-based time and pitch modulation pedal capable of lush chorus and flanger effects as well as completely warped, wiggly sounds well outside traditional use. With it he created signature sounds including the steel drum guitar of "Genius of Love," the elephant of "Elephant Talk," and the rhino of "The Lone Rhinoceros."

The Adrian Belew Echoflanger Reissue is a limited-edition tribute with all the bells, whistles, warbles and extremes of the original, plus modern construction and a few new tricks — including one Adrian discovered himself. Equal parts smooth operator and agent of chaos, this multi-mode modulator nails classic chorus and flanger sounds while letting you push them far beyond their usual limits.

The four original modes — Filter Matrix, Flange, Chorus and Slap Back — are joined by two new combos: Slap Back + Filter Matrix, and Adrian's signature Chorus + Flange, based on the "in-between" setting he found by parking the MODE knob between FLANGE and CHORUS on his vintage unit. FEEDBACK takes you from mild modulation to self-oscillating sirens, RATE and WIDTH shape the speed and range of the sweep, TUNE moves its center point, and VOLUME sets the output. A rear-panel BLEND switch removes the dry signal for more intense vibrato-type effects, while stereo outputs and True Bypass with mechanical relays keep it rig-ready.
