Made in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard is Epiphone's recreation of the rare vintage classic, updated to be more authentic and true to the originals than ever.
The mahogany body wears a maple top with AAA flame maple veneer, finished in Vintage Original Sheen (VOS) Iced Tea. The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to a comfortable '59 rounded medium C profile with a long neck tenon and the Gibson-style "open book" R9 headstock shape, topped with a laurel fingerboard, 12" radius, 22 frets and a GraphTech nut on a 24.75" scale.
Under the hood you get Gibson Custombucker humbuckers in both positions, '50s-era wiring with Mallory capacitors, CTS pots, and a Switchcraft selector switch and 1/4" output jack. Period details include a non-beveled pickguard, an ABR-1 style bridge with a Gibson Historic Reissue aluminum stop bar tailpiece, and Epiphone Deluxe vintage tuners with Keystone buttons.
This is a B-Stock item: the headstock was cracked and has been professionally repaired. It ships in a vintage-style brown and pink Epiphone hardshell case.
