The Epiphone ES-335 Figured honors the legendary ES-335, the thin, semi-hollow archtop design that brought archtop class to the rock era. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, it takes everything you love about the ES-335 and elevates it with figured maple for a new level of beauty and elegance.
First introduced in 1958, the ES-335 is considered by many players to be one of the most versatile guitar designs ever created. The thinline, semi-hollow body and f-holes look like a traditional hollowbody archtop, but a solid maple centerblock inside gives it the feedback resistance and sustain of a solidbody while retaining some of a hollowbody's resonance — a true best-of-both-worlds instrument.
This model is crafted with a five-ply maple body wearing AAA figured maple veneer on the top, back, and sides, with single-ply cream binding framing the top and back. The glued-in mahogany neck uses a Rounded C profile that sits between a beefier 50s-style neck and a SlimTaper, topped with a rosewood fretboard, a 12-inch radius, and 22 frets. A GraphTech nut and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with press-in bushings make tune-ups quick and stable, while the nickel LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece handle action height and individual string intonation.
A pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers gives the ES-335 Figured its rich, powerful voice. Each pickup gets its own volume and tone control with high-quality CTS potentiometers, and a three-way toggle lets you run either pickup alone or both together. From blues to hard rock, jazz to country, there's very little this guitar can't cover. It ships in a premium Epiphone gig bag, ready for the stage or the couch.
