The Epiphone F-5 Studio Mandolin features all-solid wood components, including a solid maple back and sides, coupled with a solid Sitka spruce top.

Its maple neck, attached to the body with a sturdy glued dovetail joint, is topped with a laurel fretboard featuring 20 frets, with no inlays found on the fingerboard. It also features traditional hardware reminiscent of its esteemed predecessors, like a Gibson-style scroll headstock, outfitted with vintage-style tuners adorned with pearloid buttons.
