The Epiphone EB-3 solidbody four-string bass gives you big tone and fast playability, thanks to a long-scale set-neck design, SG-style double-cutaway body, and dual-pickup configuration. Its mahogany body is equipped with a fully adjustable heavy-duty bridge, a Sidewinder humbucker at the neck, and an NYT Bass mini-humbucker at the bridge for maximum sustain and a broad range of tones.
Mahogany body and neck deliver exceptional sustain and a powerful, bassy voice. With a pair of humbucking pickups plus two volume and two tone controls, you can dial in everything from warm and mellow to punchy and aggressive — and still hold down the rhythm when you crank it.
Where most SG-style basses used short-scale necks, the EB-3 runs a 34" long scale on a slim, comfortable mahogany neck. The longer scale lets low frequencies develop fully for rock-solid punch and focus, and the Pau Ferro fingerboard carries classy trapezoid inlays over a 12" radius and 20 frets.
In the mid-'60s, the EB-3 "SG" bass was the only bass Epiphone produced — and it became a favorite of rock icons like Bill Wyman of The Rolling Stones, Jack Bruce of Cream, and John Entwistle of The Who. This EB-3 delivers that vintage vibe and feel without the vintage price tag.
