Evans G1 Coated drumheads seamlessly blend bright tone, lengthy sustain, and solid durability to create a high level of playing versatility. A single ply of 10mil film gives the G1 an open and expressive sound with a wide tuning range, while the coating delivers additional warmth, focus, and depth.

The result is a head with a very balanced attack, long sustain, bright tone, and average durability — equally at home in pop, gospel, and jazz settings. It's a classic single-ply voice that responds well to light touch and still opens up when you dig in.

Like every Evans drumhead, the G1 Coated features Level 360 Technology for ease of tuning, extended pitch range, and optimum quality of sound. Evans drumheads are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at the company's New York production facility.

Versatile Across Styles

The G1's balance of bright tone, long sustain, and solid durability makes it a go-to for pop, gospel, and jazz. One head covers a lot of musical ground.

Easier, Faster Tuning

Level 360 Technology gives you ease of tuning and an extended pitch range, so dialing in your toms takes less time and holds together better.

Warmth Without Losing Sustain

The coating adds warmth, focus, and depth to the single-ply voice while keeping the long decay and open character intact.

Single-Ply 10mil Film

Built from one ply of 10mil film for an open, expressive sound with a wide tuning range.

Coated Finish

The coating delivers additional warmth, focus, and depth compared to a clear single-ply head.

Balanced Attack

G1 heads offer a very balanced attack with long sustain and bright tone.

Level 360 Technology

Found on all Evans drumheads, Level 360 provides ease of tuning, extended pitch range, and optimum quality of sound.

Average Durability

Durability sits in the middle of the range — enough to hold up to regular playing while keeping the open single-ply voice.

Standard Treatment

No dampening rings or added control agents, leaving the head's natural sustain and resonance intact.
