Much of the Hummingbird's appeal lies in its versatility. No matter how you approach this legendary flat-top, it produces rich, deep tones and is equally at home strumming first-position chords as it is taking center stage for picking lead lines — a range that has made it the choice of musical legends across genres. The Hummingbird Standard Faded continues that legacy of excellent tone and outstanding playability, now finished in a beautiful, faded Heritage Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer that gives it the unmistakable vintage vibe of a long-cherished musical companion.

Its square-shoulder mahogany body and sweet, select Sitka spruce top are more than capable of nailing down the rhythm in the hands of a rock and roll sideman or accompanying the most nuanced performance under the fingers of today's alternative singer-songwriter. The top is reinforced internally with Gibson's traditional scalloped X-bracing, which contributes to the Hummingbird's responsive tone and dynamics.

The mahogany neck carries a comfortable Round profile and a bound rosewood fretboard with 20 standard frets and mother of pearl split parallelogram inlays — one of the visual hallmarks of the Hummingbird design, right alongside that instantly recognizable Hummingbird pickguard. A compound dovetail neck joint ties neck to body for outstanding resonance and sustain, while the low-friction TUSQ nut and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep tuning stable so you spend more time playing.

L.R. Baggs VTC electronics come pre-installed, with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are easy for the player to reach yet all but invisible to the audience. Plug into the 1/4" endpin jack and it's ready for stage or studio from the moment you take it out of the included hardshell case.

Versatile Across Genres

The Hummingbird is equally at home strumming first-position chords or taking center stage for picking lead lines. That range is exactly why it's been the choice of musical legends across genres.

Vintage Vibe Out Of The Box

The faded Heritage Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives this square-shoulder flat-top the look and feel of a long-cherished musical companion rather than a brand-new guitar.

Stage-Ready, Studio-Ready

Pre-installed L.R. Baggs VTC electronics mean you can plug in and play the moment you open the case. The soundhole-mounted controls sit within easy reach of the player while staying all but invisible to the audience.

Bound Rosewood Fretboard
