The Les Paul Standard 60s pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and delivers the classic features found on Les Paul models from the very early 1960s, here wrapped in a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
The non-weight-relieved solid mahogany body is capped with an AA figured maple top that adds extra sustain and bite to the mahogany's warmth and midrange punch. The mahogany neck is carved to a fast-playing SlimTaper profile for hours of comfortable play and joined with a traditional glued-in set neck. Its bound Indian rosewood fretboard carries 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays, and the 12-inch radius is equally at home with first-position chords or big bends up the neck — despite the low action, there's no risk of bends choking out.
Two 60s Burstbucker pickups with Alnico 5 magnets are hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors. The 3-way toggle lets you run either pickup alone or combine them, and the independent controls let you blend them in any ratio you like. Period-correct hardware rounds it out: an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatics with Kidney buttons, a Graph Tech nut for rock-solid tuning, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors.
A hardshell case and Gibson Accessory Kit are included to keep this iconic guitar safe in storage or on the road.
