The Gibson Parlor Rosewood EC is a small-bodied acoustic cutaway with lots of personality and an even bigger sound. The body profile reads like a pared-down SJ-200 — classic Gibson acoustic visual appeal in a size that's genuinely comfortable to hold and easy to play for hours.

Gibson's handcrafted construction does the heavy lifting on tone: a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint, a radiused top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing combine for superior warmth and a balanced voice. The solid Sitka spruce top wears gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, while the solid rosewood back and sides are finished in satin nitro with multi-ply top and single-ply back binding. The cutaway gives you clean access to the full length of the fretboard.

The satin-finished mahogany neck uses the Advanced Response profile — not too slender, not too beefy — capped with a bound rosewood fretboard, a player-friendly 16" radius, 19 standard frets, and single mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The Gibson headstock logo is inlaid in mother-of-pearl. TUSQ nut, saddle, and bridge pins work with gold-plated Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners for rock-solid tuning stability, and the traditional belly-up rosewood bridge and faux tortoise pickguard finish the look.

An L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp, with volume and tone controls tucked at the edge of the soundhole, mean this parlor is ready to plug and play onstage or in the studio the moment you open the included modern hardshell case.

Comfortable To Play

The small parlor body sits easily against you, whether you're standing, seated, or writing on the couch. The Advanced Response neck profile is neither too slender nor too beefy, so it feels natural in most players' hands.

Warm, Balanced Tone

Gibson's handcrafted construction — compound dovetail joint, radiused top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing — gives this small-bodied guitar superior warmth and an even, balanced response. Solid Sitka spruce over solid rosewood keeps things rich from bass to treble.

Plug In And Play

The L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup and active preamp are ready for the stage or studio right out of the case. Volume and tone controls sit discreetly at the edge of the soundhole for quick adjustments mid-set.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top

A solid Sitka spruce top finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer drives the guitar's projection and clarity.

Solid Rosewood Back And Sides

Solid rosewood back and sides in satin nitro lacquer add depth and complexity, with multi-ply top binding and single-ply back binding.

Cutaway Parlor Body

The small parlor body echoes a pared-down SJ-200, and the cutaway opens up access to the full length of the fretboard.

Scalloped X-Bracing

Traditional scalloped X-bracing and a radiused top are part of Gibson's handcrafted acoustic construction.

Compound Dovetail Neck Joint

The neck meets the body with a compound dovetail joint for solid coupling and traditional Gibson build quality.

Advanced Response Mahogany Neck

The satin-finished mahogany neck uses Gibson's Advanced Response profile with a 24.75" scale length and 1.73" nut width.
