Few electric guitars embody the high-performance spirit of Ibanez like the RG, a platform shaped over decades around speed, precision and uncompromising musical expression. As part of the Ibanez Genesis Collection, this RG leverages the design language that built that reputation, combining classic RG performance features with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.

A solid basswood body provides a balanced, relatively neutral tonal foundation that lets the character of the pickups and the player's technique come through with definition. The streamlined double-cutaway RG shape is designed around the demands of high-performance playing, staying comfortable through tight rhythm parts, technical leads and more expressive passages.

The five-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard neck measures just 0.67" thick at the first fret and 0.75" at the 12th, pairing a full 25.5" scale with a flat 16.93" radius for effortless position changes and wide bends. A bound rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and white sharktooth inlays complete the classic Ibanez picture, with a 1.69" locking nut anchoring the strings.

An Infinity R ceramic rail humbucker at the neck teams with an Alnico V8 bridge humbucker for a tight, dynamic voice that holds clarity under heavy gain, and a five-way selector adds coil-split and parallel voicings for leaner textures. The original Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo, Gotoh machine heads and black hardware round out a purpose-built performance platform made in Japan.
