A solid basswood body provides a balanced, relatively neutral tonal foundation that lets the character of the pickups and the player's technique come through with definition, and the streamlined double-cutaway RG shape stays comfortable through tight rhythm parts, technical leads and expressive passages. The exceptionally thin five-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard neck measures just 0.67" at the first fret and 0.75" at the 12th, pairing a full 25.5" scale with a flat 16.93" radius for effortless position changes and wide bends. A bound rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and white sharktooth inlays finish the picture with unmistakable classic Ibanez style.

An Infinity R rail humbucker in the neck position pairs with an Alnico V8 bridge humbucker for a tight, dynamic voice that retains clarity even under heavy gain, while a five-way selector adds coil-split and parallel options for leaner, more articulate textures. Master volume and tone controls keep shaping direct across the guitar's expanded range.

The original Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo brings one of the defining pieces of classic RG hardware to the RG565R, combining wide-ranging pitch control with exceptional tuning stability and precise intonation adjustment. Backed by a locking nut, Gotoh machine heads and black hardware, it's a purpose-built performance platform — and a formative era of Ibanez history rebuilt as a precision modern instrument.
