Used Samuel Eastman VA80 16' Viola - With Hardshell Case and Bow
$767.77
The Samuel Eastman VA80 16-Inch Viola is a hand-crafted, student-level instrument designed to give developing musicians the quality materials and traditional construction they need to keep progressing. A solid Chinese spruce top paired with solid Chinese maple back and ribs delivers the balanced tonal characteristics expected from a traditionally built viola.
Fittings are top-quality ebony — fingerboard, tuning pegs, and chinrest — while genuine hand-inlaid purfling adds traditional appearance along with added structural detail. A Despiau bridge and high-gloss varnish finish complete a package that looks and plays well above its student billing.
At 16 inches, this is a full-size viola, with the larger body and tonal response many advancing students and adult players are looking for. It's well suited to lessons, school ensembles, orchestra, and players ready to dig deeper into the instrument.
This highlighted example has very few blemishes — just a few minor surface feather scratches on the top surface and rims of the body — and has been adjusted by our technician for general playing conditions. It comes as a complete outfit with a hard-shell case and bow.
