The Vic Firth M114 is the medium model in the Robert van Sice keyboard series, and it's the most popular mallet of the bunch. It's designed to cover the entire range of the marimba, so you can move from the low end to the top octaves without constantly swapping pairs.

The yarn-wound head, finished in charcoal grey, produces a singing sound that's full of life. A maple handle keeps the feel balanced and natural in the hand, and at 17" the M114 is sized for concert playing.

Whether you're working through recital repertoire, playing in an ensemble, or just building out your mallet bag, the medium M114 is an easy and versatile choice.
