The Yamaha TRBX504 4-String Premium Bass is an affordable workhorse designed to deliver maximum performance and fit your budget at the same time. The sculpted solid mahogany body uses a mass-optimized 3D design for the best balance between tone and comfort, with weight distribution that keeps the instrument comfortable through long sets.

Up top, a fast, ultra-comfortable neck profile is built from 5-piece maple/mahogany laminated construction for outstanding stability and excellent tone. The precision-fitted bolt-on neck joint keeps adjustability high and tone clear and punchy — its shape was refined through hundreds of hours of play-testing to balance strength, vibration transfer and upper-fret access across the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.

YGD-designed H5 pickups deliver a clean, open tone matched to the flexibility of the active/passive preamp design. A quad-polepiece layout and alnico magnets give them the power to drive the active circuit and the sensitivity to capture every nuance in passive mode. The audiophile-grade active/passive circuit provides level-matched output in either mode and tone-switching circuitry that moves seamlessly from treble control to master passive tone. Gold-plated parts are used at key signal chain contacts for increased conductivity and reliability, and a battery alert LED on the back panel gives instant warning of low power.

A high-mass die-cast bridge efficiently transfers string vibration to the body for full, rich tone with excellent adjustability and road-tested durability. Straight string pull from nut to machine head eliminates lateral tension for superior tuning stability and fewer overtones, while the 38mm nut width keeps playability fast and comfortable in any style.
